Egads, it's been six months since posting something on my BKG blog. I guess that happened because I'm under the impression no one reads it. While that may be true, I also thought perhaps more people would read it if I render something more about the BKG and why I do it. Well, I do have on "My Story" page some published articles covering the history of my business that all began with unknowingly sketching a drawing of a hand with wrench & bandage in the middle of the night, drawn at the Bottom of The Grand Canyon where I worked and lived for close to 12 years.
I am now 25 years closer to overnight success, I've experienced great experiences and immeasurable disappointments in that time. I kinda think I'm the best unknown brand in America for automotive enthusiasts. No employees, no TV shows, no big distribution but I believe that can all change if I focused on it. But I do this to forever remember my past, the good times of working various garages over the years, the interesting people I've met; customers, mechanics, celebrities, crooks.... I continue to believe in a world laced with fast changes it's worth remembering our past experiences with mechanical experiences, dappling with the old cars, bikes and trucks. I truly do it because it's fun. I haven't made a ton of money but I've made a life, I think that's cool (and rare).
